Renowned Osun State monarch, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran, the Owa-Obokun of Ijesaland, has passed away at the age of 86. The news of his demise was confirmed by Chief Yinka Fasuyi, the Asiwaju of Ijesaland, in a statement released in Osogbo, the state capital, on Thursday.
Prior to the official announcement, concerns had been raised about the monarch’s health, as he had been reported to be in poor health. Chief Fasuyi, in a heartfelt tribute, lamented the sudden end of an era, saying, “An Era Comes To An Abrupt End!”
Oba Aromolaran’s passing marks a significant loss for the people of Osun State and Ijesaland, who will deeply miss his wise leadership and guidance.
